Founded in the summer of 2024, The Sound Drawer is a platform dedicated to expressing our passion for music through writing. This page will be an accumulation of anything music-related that has struck our interest (a junk drawer of creativity)!

Oh hey! My name is Kiera and I've always been freakishly obsessed with music. I love connecting with other people that are passionate about good tunes, and I am a huge vinyl collector and live music enthusiast. My current favorite artists include The Smiths, Fleetwood Mac, The Sundays, and Adrianne Lenker. I also love to dance, read, and paint.

Hi! My name is Lauren and my favorite artists to listen to are Blood Orange, Charlie XCX, and Taylor Swift. Outside of music, I like to run and read!

Scarlet Fishkind (she/her/hers)

Hellloooo! My name is Scarlet, and I am a rising sophomore at Colgate University. For me, music is more than mere conversations with friends. I love writing about songs, reading about records, researching artists and their backstories, and talking live on air about my favorite tunes. I am currently Music Director of WRCU, Colgate's college radio station, and I love listening to up-and-coming artists and curate weekly playlists for our DJs. Some of my favorite artists include Wilco, Khruangbin, Weyes Blood, Loving, KAYTRANADA, and A Tribe Called Quest.

Everett Shinn is a writer, record collector, and a passionate music enjoyer, His genre of expertise include prog rock, prog metal, neo-swing, vocal jazz, and classical. My-no, HIS favorite artists include Phish, David Bowie, Steven Wilson, Fiona Apple, Climax Blues Band, and Phish. He really, really, REALLY thinks you'd like Phish if you just gave it a chance and listened to a few of his favorite sets.
